Tackling Bullying: A First Nations Approach

This 1 or 2 day workshop begins with a needs assessment of participants, and presents information and programming similar to other workshops listed, with a First Nations perspective. Issues such as isolation, close-knit communities and breaking entrenched behaviour patterns are examined closely. Presentations are tailored to meet challenges identified in the initial needs assessment. At the end of the 2-day workshop, participants will have completed a plan for implementing and anti-bullying/anti-violence plan.

Consulting

Some schools take advantage of bringing in a facilitator on a regular basis to work with a group of staff members as a consultant to implement an anti-bullying/anti-violence program over a longer period of time. Other issues such as racism (a form of bullying) can also be examined and incorporated.
